1988 Fender American Standard Telecaster with Joe Barden and Seymour Duncan Pickups

The look, sound and vibe of Telecasters resonate throughout the history of popular music. From orchestra pits to mosh pits, small clubs to stadiums and garages to recording studios, its signature sound is everywhere. This customized Tele features a Seymour Duncan pickup at the bridge and a Joe Barden "Danny Gatton Style" pickup at the neck.   The tone of the Barden neck pickup can be described as absolutely vintage in character, but with greatly expanded fidelity. The lows, mids, and highs are all equal in strength, eliminating the thin, or "tinny" sound that is often a problem with Telecasters.

This guitar also features custom side-inlays, installed to increase visibility on a dark stage.  These diamond-like dots will catch virtually any light and sparkle bright so that you will never question your position on the neck again.

This guitar has some dings and scratches acquired over the years, as the photos will document.  The hardware shows some scratches and light corrosion, also photographed.  The pickups are aftermarket, described above.  The pickup selector knob was bent by the former owner for hand clearance.  The pickguard is a brand new 3 ply white.  Hardshell case included.
