This Baritone guitar from Alvarez is an especially beautiful instrument that is incredibly fun to play. The low string vibrates at "B" and you can definitely feel the vibrations in your chest when you play it. The B-B tuning will open up an entire world of creative possibilities that you may not have come up with on a standard tuned guitar. Our songwriter friends especially love baritones, as it tends to be a better fit for many vocal ranges without using a capo.
Luscious rosewood back and sides on the Alvarez Yairi YB1 are complimented by bound ebony fretboard and headstock while bold and sweet overtones rings from the solid spruce top. Multiple body binding, gold die-cast tuners, abalone rosette, and clear pick guard complete a beautiful instrument making it look just as good as it sounds.
The back of this guitar is some species of Rosewood. Though we can't confirm the exact origin, it is strikingly beautiful reminding us of Madagascar with hints Macassar Ebony.
Also present on this guitar is a cutaway, which is only available as a custom option, usually delivered only to artists. This guitar also contains the Alvarez System 600T MK II Preamp/EQ system for instant plug-and-play.
This guitar has a dent on the back of the headstock, shown in the detail photo. There is some light finish scratches on the back, also shown in the detail photo. There is a very small, dent on the lower waist and 2 very small dents on the top, near the binding on the upper bout areas. There is a small dent on the back of the neck. These are difficult to see and could not be photographed. A strap button has been installed. Hardshell case included.
