Description

Leo Fender, who invented the iconic Telecaster and the Stratocaster decided to sell his company to CBS in early 1965. Owing to the brand's success, Fender continues to make versions of these venerable instruments to this very day! One of the most popular instruments in history, the Fender® Stratocaster® guitar is the most imitated electric guitar ever. 1956 was a landmark year for the instrument - it had evolved from its early incarnations into an archetype - and it was the high point of the maple-neck era.

The Fender Custom shop is know for producing highly accurate reproduction's of some of the most famous instruments every produced. This 2004 Pre Owned '56 Stratocaster Relic, as part of the "Time Machine Series" from the Fender custom shop leaves little to be wished for out of a true iconic Stratocaster. The Stratocaster Relic is a detailed recreation inside and out and fitted with all the features you could hope for. It has the Fender classic alder body, Boat Neck V Shape maple neck, Custom ‘50s Single-Coil Strat Pickups, American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo,  and a 1-Ply Parchment Pickguard .

This Custom Shop reproduction of a 1956 Strat was built utilizing original tooling and production techniques of the era. This one looks like a real 65+ year old guitar, although this guitar is a "Relic" it looks as if it was bought new in it's respective year, played frequently but kept in incredible shape. This guitar has few small dings, a lightly checked finish, oxidized hardware and aged plastic parts.

Besides the typical wear of a "Relic" guitar this 2004 Relic Stratocaster is in excellent condition and looks as if it just came out of Fender's Custom Shop, as the detailed photographs will indicate. The original Vintage Style Hardshell case is included with case candy.
