Huss and Dalton's 12-fret 00 produces a surprising amount of volume out of a small bodied guitar. Very clear and balanced in tone, it is braced for light gauge strings and designed with the fingerstyle player in mind.
This 2004 Huss & Dalton 00-SP custom is absolutely phenomenal. The Cedar top gives you that warm tonality, with a lightning fast attack that fingerstyle players instantly fall in love with. Cedar is a much softer tonewood than Spruce and projects more volume with a lighter attack. Cedar is characteristically lush, dark-toned, and bursting with color and flavor. The notes are effortlessly produced, with bare fingers or with picks. The bottom end is rich and powerful, lending to an overall warmth. Paired with Indian Rosewood, every note has depth and richness; with ease of response.
This guitar features some of the most simple and elegant appointments Huss & Dalton has to offer, such as an Ebony Pyramid Bridge, Maple/W/B/W/B/W/B purfling, Herringbone Rosette with Rings, Nickel Waverly tuners, 12 fret style slotted square inlays, and Indian Rosewood body bindings. This guitar also features a custom 1 7/8" Nut Width.
