This guitar has become a rarity these days. Collings has stopped offering Cedar as a top wood option, and it is always a treat when one comes along. Cedar is characteristically lush, dark-toned, and bursting with color and flavor. Fingerstylists will fall in love with how effortlessly notes are produced, with bare fingers or with picks. The bottom end is rich and powerful, lending to an overall warmth. Paired with Indian Rosewood, every note has depth and richness; with ease of response. The added cutaway elegantly allows for easy access and makes for an exceptionally playable instrument.
This guitar is in near-mint condition, with only a tiny blemish on the back of the headstock, near the corner of the inside slot. It includes a Collings hardshell case.
