Video Demonstration of Reunion Blues Cases using a Fender Strat. We swear by these cases at Artisan Guitars... our Sales Manager has road-tested his for over 10 years.
Here is a great video from 2005, featuring Richard Hoover, founder of Santa Cruz Guitar Company - attending a "Builder's Showcase" hosted by Artisan guitars. The video runs approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, and is full of detailed information on how Richard and company builds their fine guitars, including some details about the special "mojo" they add at Santa Cruz.
After we shot this video, we initially provided it free of charge to curious fans around the globe... From converts to the bench-built design concept to individual builders curious about how things are done by a master luthier. Last count we individually burned more than 800 DVD copies and mailed them free of charge, to more than 9 continents around the globe - spreading the word about Santa Cruz guitars.
In the years ahead Richard was called upon by other dealers, and could be seen and heard hosting other showcases in the far corners of the earth. It was a Santa Cruz revival of sorts. In May of 2010 with the launching of our new website we were pleased to be able to host this video on our website for everyone to see. With our compliments, please sit back and enjoy the video.. Take notes if you're inclined, or just enjoy the discussion and soak in all of the charisma!
Just voted the best guitar over $10,000 by Vintage Guitar magazine, here is Bryan Clark showcasing the fabulous 1934D that we have here in shop. This particular 1934D is a pre-owned model, which we expect to be quite rare, as we can't imagine anyone wanting to resell these guitars. The former owner of this magnificent piece is only selling because he picked out another set of Brazilian for another Santa Cruz. We don't expect this to last long, as Brazilian at a pre-owned price doesn't come along very often.... just listen to the thing, it is amazing!
In the past, we have commissioned a limited run of some remarkably special instruments from our short list of select builders. So when the idea of all Mahogany construction came up, the name Santa Cruz shortly followed. The 1929 Depression Era 00-17 is presented as an heirloom quality instrument from Santa Cruz Guitars, designed with simpler appointments reflecting the era, yet with all the mojo you would expect from a guitar with such a special namesake. Their selection of Mahogany tone woods offers snap and sparkle, a dry and airy tone - tone that hangs on to every note with ease. The term "canon" immediately comes to mind.
Due to the unique nature and remarkable tone this guitar achieves, we asked Bryan Clark; local session player and adjunct faculty member at Belmont University School of Music where he teaches composition, history of American song and arranging - to showcase just how special this guitar is.

Huss and Dalton Guitar Company began late in the summer of 1995. Jeff Huss and Mark Dalton had the idea to build guitars they wanted to play. While appreciating the traditional design, both had a vision of a guitar that paid homage to tradition while incorporating improvements in the structural design and cosmetics of the steel-string guitar.
This DVD starts with a full working tour of the Huss and Dalton shop in Staunton, Virginia. Detailed footage of everything from the forming of the back and sides, the hands-on approach Huss and Dalton imploy in bracing the top, to the intricate inlay work - this is a real treat for if you are interested in the craft. Other features included a testimonal and song by Robin and Linda Williams, local folk duo renowned for their harmony singing and songwriting talents; an interview with Jeff Huss and Mark Dalton; and a full digital catalog of Huss and Dalton's 2009 product line.
