Greg Bennett Glider Capo

Greg Bennett Glider Capo

No doubt about it, capos have gone high tech. The Glider Capo, however, gets back to the root of the thing. More high-touch than high-tech, the Glider takes the form-follows-function ideal to new levels.

Two rubber rollers do all the work here: one doing the fretting, the other allowing quick, smooth, and almost slight-of-hand repositioning. To move the capo from, say, the second fret to the fourth, simply lay your right hand over it and roll it there. You can also push the bottom roller up or down along the length of the neck with your left-hand thumb, which from the audience's perspective, is a pretty neat trick. Don't need the capo for that next number? Just roll it up over the nut, and it's out of the way, but poised for immediate service. Simple, quick, and elegant.

Shubb C-2 Capo for Nylon String Guitar

Shubb C-2 Capo for Nylon String Guitar

What makes the Shubb C-2 Capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly. The Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

Precisely machined of nickel and carefully hand assembled, the Shubb C2 capo is specially designed to work on instruments with flat fingerboards, such as classical nylon string guitars.

Shubb C-6B Capo for Dobro Guitar

Shubb C-6B Capo for Dobro Guitar

According to Shubb, this is the best capo ever put on a resophonic guitar. Unlike other Dobro capos that attach only to the strings, the Shubb C-6B clamps solidly to the neck to provide great tone. It uses the same patented locking action of our Shubb guitar capo, and it aligns by touching the fret, not by eye, making it fast and accurate.

Shubb C-7B Partial Capo (Covers 3 Strings)

Shubb C-7B Partial Capo (Covers 3 Strings)

The Shubb C-7B partial capo skips the outside string and covers the next three -- either 2,3,4 or 5,4,3. This capo is Shubb's response to discovering players had sawed off their normal capos in order to bar only certain strings. Shubb decided to make this a permanent design with their partial capos, giving guitarists versatility that was previously unavailable (without a third hand!).
