Huss and Dalton's CM is one of our favorite models; not only for its rich and responsive tone; but for the wide range of playing styles it perfectly suits. Whether you are a songwriter needing an inspirational writing tool, a diserning fingerstylist, or a little bit of both - the CM is a perfect answer. This custom appointed piece showcases the beautiful artistry that only a small shop can offer.
Despite being somewhat smaller than a dreadnought; the body depth of the CM, measuring in at 4 5/8, boosting the low-end warmth and response. The Engelmann Spruce top exhibits a richer, more complex tone than Sitka; while being exceptionally responsive to both fingerstyle and light strumming. The choice of Indian Rosewood broadens out the dynamic range, bringing overtone rich low-end and mellow yet defined trebles. The soft cutaway gives ease of access to the higher frets without sacrificing tone or volume. When fingerpicking, each note is rich and warm, yet well defined and easily articulated.
This custom model is beautifully appointed with Koa binding along the body, fingerboard, and headstock. The abalone rosette is also gracefully placed between two rings of Koa.
This guitar is in fantastic condition. There are some slight finish scratches on the headstock and some very minor fretwear in the first position. There are two very slight indentations (not throught the finish) underneath the bridge on the top. It has a K&K Pure Mini pickup. It includes the original tweed hardshell case.
