DPA 4099B Acoustic Instrument Clip-On Microphone – For Upright Bass or Acoustic Bass Guitar
Perfect for PA amplification and live recording of acoustic upright bass, the 4099B offers a sound that is considerably more natural than an internal microphone or pick-up as well as several excellent placement possibilities.
The DPA 4099B is a unique clip microphone inheriting the sonic approach from the legendary DPA studio microphones to a new instrument microphone. The 4099B microphone and mounting system is meticulously designed and optimized for the double bass. This is to ensure the best possible mount and audio reinforcement is achieved when performing live. The 4099B attaches to the E and G string below the bridge and allows for microphone capsule placement in the sweet spot between bridge and fingerboard.
Representing years of research and development, the 4099 condenser microphones feature supercardioid polar patterns for superior gain-before-feedback. Fully capable of handling the double bass’s dynamic range and subtle details, these microphones live up to their pedigree with sound as accurate as DPA’s other world-class microphones.
Despite its tiny, discreet size and elegant, lightweight design, 4099B is extremely rugged. The versatile gooseneck provides stable and repeatable positioning. The mics can be easily unclipped and repositioned or moved to another instrument, while the mounting system is designed never to mar or scratch the finish of your instrument nor changing the sonic character of it.
Reduce cable clutter on stage by using the DAO4099 Double Cable. The cable carries both the 4099 mic extension cable and a pick-up jack connection in one dual cable run in a nylon sock. The jack uses high quality Mogami cable and gold Neutrik connectors. At the instrument end there is a right-angled connector. The microphone extension is the DPA miniature cable.
Through the use of our extensive adapter system, the 4099 can be used as a standard 48V phantom powered microphone via the included XLR connector and is also compatible with virtually any wireless system.

Exceptional sound and versatility
Key to the evolved design of the new Matrix Infinity are soundhole mounted rotary Volume and Tone controls that now allow the player to make a variety of easily accessible dynamic and tonal adjustments. Highlander iP-1 Acoustic Guitar Pickup System
The Highlander iP-1 (Highlander's most popular system) is currently in use by thousands of musicians including many of the world's top players. Highlander's Integrated Pickup and Matching Preamplifier set new standards for acoustic instrument reproduction.
The unique pickup installation couples the pickup with the body of the instrument. The pickup, being sensitive to pressure changes from all directions, 'hears' the tonal qualities of the wood and structure of the instrument, not just the dry, direct string sound through the saddle.
The iP-1 was initially designed for use in six and twelve string acoustic guitars and nylon string acoustic guitars and basses, but various versions have been developed including systems for Resonator Guitars and Harp. The rubbed finish looks best on the new El Trovador whereas the Estralita Deluxe and the 12 fret Style 0 use the brighter, more shiny nickel finish. One nice feature (and there are many) of the Hot-Plate is that its slightly oblong screw holes around the perimeter allow for it to fit vintage Nationals without disturbing the authenticity of an older instrument. The Hot-Plate is interchangeable on any single cone National resonator guitar. Just take off the original coverplate with a tiny screwdriver and install the Hot-Plate. Keep the original coverplate in a safe place and should you ever decide to sell or trade your National you can replace it, keeping the Hot-Plate for reuse on your new single cone resonator. Installation should take no more than 10 minutes. Just take your strings off, change out the coverplates, plug your guitar cord into the input jack on the Hot-Plate and you'll be good to go. The K & K Pure XLR Preamp has the same great sound and super low noise as the time-proven K & K Pure Preamp with the addition of a DI balanced XLR out and a phase switch. K&K Mandolin Twin Internal Pickup
The K&K Mandolin Twin Internal is a twin-head, retrofit mandolin transducer. It is a fully internal pickup system. Both the tranducers and the endpin-jack are mounted inside the mandolin. The transducers are attached with special super-thin and strong peel-and-stick tape. Installation of this system should be done by an experienced luthier or mandolin tech.
The Mandolin Twin Internal reproduces the original mandolin tone with very natural tone quality and it is highly feedback resistant.
Due to the internal mounted pickups, the Mandolin Twin Internal delivers even better sound than the previous model, the Mandolin Twin... Plus it doesn't clutter up the outside of your instrument.

The K&K Twin Spot Internal is a twin-head piezo transducer that is designed for internal mount in acoustic guitars and other instruments.
The twin-head system has distinctive advantages towards the single-head transducer: The positioning at 2 spots results in a more balanced sound structure. The frequency range is broader. The small heads with only 1/2" diameters allow an unobtrusive installation. In addition, small areas at the instrument can be reached.
The Twin Spot Internal comes with an endpin jack for internal mount. The jack can be mounted from the outside so no soldering is necessary.
