It’s been more than several years since Collings has built Brazilian guitars for their broader group of authorized dealers. We are pleased to announce a very limited run of new Brazilian model Collings – possibly their last.

It is our privilege to introduce this limited run of Brazilian models with our 02H, featuring an Adirondack Red Spruce sound board, Adirondack forward shifted bracing, and Brazilian Rosewood back & sides.  The Collings Crew continues to amaze us with their challenge of building a small bodied guitar yet with such a powerful voice.

Insiders know, ever since Artisan Guitars became a Collings dealer we have been champions of the Collings “0” model as one of the most delightfully surprising
guitars in their catalog.  So much fun they should be illegal, these guitars always bring a smile to an unsuspecting new acquaintance.

This guitar has the responsiveness of a small bodied guitar, yet the volume and clarity of a large body guitar. The first thing that you will notice about this guitar is its impressive bass response that belies its small stature. The Adirondack spruce bracing helps to further stiffen the top, adding lighting fast note response to your individual lines.

Brazilian Rosewood combines the attributes of the two most common back and side woods, Indian Rosewood, and Mahogany. Brazilian has the ability to provide lushness of Indian Rosewood, while never sacrificing the individual note clarity you get from Mahogany. This guitar is a recording engineer’s dream! All of this is wrapped up in a guitar that you will feel comfortable sitting on the couch playing for hours, recording on music row, or playing on any stage. Simply, yet elegantly appointed, this is a true family heirloom for  generations to come.

2007 Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 w/ Artist Package

Paul Reed Smith has established himself as builder who takes pride in both honoring the past and spearheading progression in the guitar industry. The Custom 22 is among the first guitars that first put PRS into the spotlight - and it's no wonder why. Since this has been in our shop, it always catches eyes across the store.

This Custom 22 is built with the Artist Package. That includes, most importantly, the highest grade Quilted Maple top PRS uses on their standard models. The Artist Grade top is even a step above the 10 Top - there isn't any finer! This Custom 22 has an absolutely gorgeous top, finished in Whale Blue. Other upgraded features in the Artist package are Paua shell bird inlays on the fingerboard, an unfinished rosewood headstock overlay with inlayed Paua Shell Paul Reed Smith signature, and gold hardware.

The Custom 22 come standard with PRS Dragon II pickups. The Dragon II pickups are built in-house to Paul's exacting specifications. Years of work and research have been spent on the crucial details such as focusing on sparkling highs and rich, punchy bass. The PRS Custom 22 comes with volume and tone controls along with a 5-way rotary selector switch that allows you to switch from a screaming lead to a warm rhythm tone with ease.

This guitar is in fantastic, near-mint condition. There is some very minor playing wear on the pickup covers, and very slight finish marks on the knobs. It seems to have hardly been played, there isn't really any fretwear! It includes the original deluxe leather hardshell case.

Collings Custom SJ Adirondack and Maple

The SJ is Collings' version of what is commonly called a Small Jumbo. Although the 16 inch lower bout is slightly wider than a dreadnought, and the sides almost as deep, the tight curve at the waist creates in a very different sound chamber. SJs typically have a more pronounced midrange response when compared to a dreadnought, which translates into more note definition. Players looking for the bass and overall volume of a large guitar, but with lots of treble clarity and midrange crunch, often find just what they need in the curvaceous SJ.

This Custom Collings SJ features an Adirondack top. Adirondack Spruce is the legendary tonewood used on the early guitars we have all grown to love. The stiffness to weight ratio makes Adirondack great for players who dig in a bit harder and desire virtually unlimited headroom. Combined with Maple Back and Sides this guitar has a very warm, yet defined bass response with very present clear trebles. We chose to use the standard Sitka bracing to allow for a more responsive top, while still retaining the power, clarity, and punch that Collings' Adi topped guitars are known for.

This guitar has a monstrous overall sound, while still maintaining a even balance across the spectrum. We found it incredibly easy to strum, fingerpick, play jazz chord melodies, flat pick, you name it. It was described by one of our player's as; "being able to level a city block!"

The custom appointments on this Custom SJ are a very rich and colorful full body sunburst, a complimentary 3-style backstrip, long dot inlays, gold waverly tuners, gold strap button, and a  flouish peghead inlay to top it all off.

1997-98 Fender Telecaster 1952 Reissue

The Telecaster is one of the most popular if not the most popular Electric guitar ever made. The '52 reissue faithfully pays homage to the simplicity and revolutionary sound of the early "Pre-CBS" Telecaster. The Telecaster has been seen in the arms of some of the worlds most popular musicians such as Elvis Presely, Marley Haggard, and Pete Townshend, who has even specified his favorite Telecaster as the 1952 telecaster.

The American Vintage ’52 Telecaster Reissue has a premium ash body with a rare copper finish, one-piece U-shaped maple neck and 7.25”-radius fingerboard. It features two American Vintage Tele® single-coil pickups, original Tele® circuit with three-position switch, brass bridge saddles, ashtray bridge cover, single-ply black pickguard, chrome hardware and master volume and master tone controls.

This guitar has received a Gold level Set up and Saddle Compensation By Larry Miletich at the Music one Workshop. Compensating the saddle adjusts the intonation of the string so it plays and stays as close to in-tune as possible.

This Fender Telecaster 52' Reissue is in excellent condition, hard to distinguish used from new there are just a few minor scratches to the top and back as seen in the photographs below. We were unable to determine the exact year of this instrument but because of the the serial number we have narrowed down the year of production between 1997 and 1998. Hardshell Case and Case Candy Included.

Collings CL Jazz Thinline Archtop Merlot Finish

Thin, light, and exquisite, the Collings City Limits Jazz commands attention. Built with a fully hollow one-piece mahogany body, carved European spruce top, and modern stylings, this sleek thin-bodied archtop is made for jazz.

Collings achieves unmatched tone and response out of this archtop with the use of innovative bracing patterns.  The carved European Spruce top is cross braced on the inside, much like a flat-top, as opposed to bar bracing, which is traditional for archtops.  Each brace must be carved to match the inside of the arch.  Bill wanted a more dynamic flat-top response and he has certainly met his goal with the City Limits Jazz.

The pickup is a Jason Lollar hand-wired Johnny Smith style humbucker.   The pickup is mounted to the pickguard and floats beautifully at the base of the fretboard.  Discreet volume and tone controls are found on the bottom edge of the pickguard so that they don't detract from the ultra-clean lines of such a beautiful guitar.   A custom merlot finish completes the package, revealing just enough of the incredible European Spruce grain patterns.
