The Collings Jumbo, or CJ, is Colling's version of the classic slope-shouldered dreadnought, a shape that has enjoyed renewed popularity in recent years. While the CJ is similar in width and depth to the traditional dreadnought, it has a distinctly different tone. The CJ accommodates a variety of playing styles and genres without skipping a beat. It even suits fingerstyle players.
This CJ features a German Spruce top underneath a gorgeous Collings sunburst. German Spruce is one of the most versatile tonewoods, offering the perfect balance between responsiveness and headroom. This instrument also features a short scale length, reducing the string tension slightly for an additional level of responsiveness and easy playability. The bindings are tortoise throughout, and is a very classy look. A tigerstripe pickguard completes the look on this incredible guitar.
The tone is incredibly balanced with a rich low end, powerful mid-range, and sparkling trebles.
