This Custom National NRP model captures the look and feel of an original 12 fret National Duolian and was built to the same vintage specs as the originals! This thin-gauge steel body is highlighted by flat cut “f” holes, a formed back, and period-correct, traditional non-ribbed coverplate. The body is hand painted a beautiful Ivory color and we have nicknamed this National "The Ghost" accordingly.
The neck is mahogany and clears 12 frets to the body featuring an unbound ebony fretboard complete with mother-of-pearl position markers. In true vintage form, this guitar does not feature an adjustable truss rod... not to worry, the neck is reinforced with graphite and will be stable... guaranteed by National's lifetime warranty.
Also part of the 1930s tradition, the frets consist of smaller mandolin sized wire and make this NRP incredibly fast and easy to play... fingers glide effortlessly across the frets. Vintage-style plain tuners, ebony nut, and “National” stamped headstock complete the look this classic.
