2000 Ratliff R5 Sitka Spruce and Maple

Started in 1982, Ratliff Mandolins has grown to be one of the most well respected luthier shops in the world. Ratliff Mandolin builds each mandolin to the highest stand with the finest building materials available. To this day each instrument is built entirely by master luthier Audey Ratliff in Church Hill, Tennessee. This 2000 Ratliff R5 features a Bound Solid Sitka Spruce top with traditional F holes and Maple back and sides. The combination of these tonewoods produces a woody and powerful tone that has just the right amount of warmth with out sacrificing any of the mids or highs. This F style mandolin is incredibly balanced and versatile with plenty of volume.

Other appointments on this handmade Mandolin include a nut width of 1 1/8", a Full Body Sunburst, Nickel Hardware, Hand Engraved Tailpiece, Mother of Pearl Inlays, Single-ply Boltaron Bound Ebony fretboard, and an Ebony Bridge.

This 2000 Ratliff R-5 does have some scratches on the headstock, top, back and sides. There is also a 2mm ding on the top that is photographed below. Hardhsell Case Included with purchase.
