2008 Martin 3 Cherry Soprano Ukulele
Established in 1833 by German emigre C.F. Martin, the Martin Guitar Company of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, soon became world renowned for making some of the world's finest guitars. It was during the start of the ukulele craze in the early part of this century that Martin started making ukuleles. Today these original ukes are without peer and are some of the most highly sought after by collectors. Even Hawaiian musicians, especially the old timers, have a special place in their hearts for Martin ukuleles. Check out the specs on this Martin Cherry Soprano Ukulele.
In answer to the world's dwindling supply to the favored woods for instruments, the Martin 3 cherry ukulele is constructed from 100% environmentally sustainable, certified wood that includes cherry top, back, sides, neck and blocks, basswood linings and braces, a katalox fingerboard and bridge and a maple bridge plate. Other Style 3 appointments include a pointed fingerboard inlaid with black/white marquetry and a pointed ivoroid tail inlay.
This ukulele is beautifully crafted and a pleasure to play. Cherry produces a rich, projective midrange and balance without favoring the bass or treble frequencies. Vibrant and beautiful, the notes produced from this ukulele will please even the most discerning players.
This 2008 Martin Uke is in absolute excellent condition. There are no visible scratches, dents or fret wear. Includes Original Martin Molded Uke Case.
