National Reso-Phonics has sent us some beautiful custom guitars in recently, and this one is another welcome edition. The Delphi is a traditionally shaped steel bodied guitar with a hard rock maple neck, ivoroid bound rosewood fingerboard and slotted headstock with open gear vintage-style three-on-a-plate tuners. This particular Delphi is finished with a custom hand-painted black finish on the body and coverplate. The headstock features matching black tuning buttons to pull the whole look together.
The Delphi is an updated and modern take on the famous painted steel body National Duolian and National Triolian 12-fret neck guitars built from 1930 until 1934 by the National Stringed Instrument Corp. National Reso-Phonic has recently reissued the a Triolian and Duolian with original specifications, but the Delphi has made a place for itself in the current National history.
