Collings 360 Baritone

Collings is admittedly building some of the finest acoustic guitars that have ever been built. When they decided to take on the challenge of building electric guitars, at the onset, this may have seemed an easier task. After all, electric guitars have no bracing, no acoustic waves to study, and acoustic players are known to be a finicky bunch when compared to our electric brethren.

Well, 70 prototypes and a year later, Collings felt they had finally formulated the electric guitar they would want to build. In the process Collings conceptualized the iconic electric guitar in a new light, developing a new standard for fit, finish, innovation, and most importantly tone.

Expanding on the configuration of thier popular 360 LT M model, the new Collings 360 Baritone opens up a whole new range of sonic possibilities. The comfortable offset body style, 27.5” scale, and stable Mastery bridge and tremolo create a playability and string tension feel that will make any traditional electric player right at home.

Dual Lollar Alnico Pole P90’s beautifully communicate the rich, woody qualities of the baritone sound combined with the acoustical focus and punch of the 360 body style.

The airy snap and strong fundamental tone of Lollar Alnico Pole P90's adds warmth and roundness while maintaining a balanced sound across the extended baritone range.

Mastery have come to be regarded as the definitive manufacturer of high quality bridge and tremolo hardware for offset-style.

An optional alder or ash body and maple neck lend definition and foucs to the baritone tonal range. The offset body of the 360 and 27.5" Scale make this baritone one of the most comfortable and easy to transition to for traditional electric players.

From Lollar : The P-90 everyone is talking about. Scatter wound pickup with de-gaussed Alnico 5 bar magnets. A fatter P-90 tone with smoother treble. Sounds like an old P-90 rather than a new pickup that still has some hard edges.

Some baritone guitars have pickups that can be hit or miss . Not so on the Collings 360 Baritone. Each position sounds great and is very usable. This is because these Lollar P-90 pickups are specially designed for the Collings Electric Baritone...with the deep and rich sound in mind.

Includes Hardshell Case.
