Collings OM1 Traditional w/ Sunburst Finish
The new Traditional or "T" Series Guitars offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. Prompted by the development of the depression-era inspired Waterloo guitars, Collings had an idea for a new series of guitars that would possess a strong fundamental tonal response characteristic of vintage guitars from the 1930s era.
Each T Series guitar is built using animal protein glue and a very thin all-nitrocellulose lacquer finish on the body, making them exceptionally dynamic and responsive. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection. The T Series models also feature a new Traditional neck profile based on their popular Vintage Now neck, but with a slightly more tapered carve and rolled fingerboard edges. Vintage-inspired appointments include gold mother of pearl inlays.
The topwood on this Collings OM1 Guitar is made from Sitka Spruce, paired with mahogany back and sides. This is a classic combination that is highly versatile for many playing styles. Sitka can be played fingerstyle or with a flatpick and can excel at both. It is ideal for flatpickers who don't require the stiffness of Adirondack, offering more volume and responsiveness from a lighter touch. Mahogany has become a favorite among recording and engineers and producers throughout the industry for its dry, punchy, and clear sonic qualities. This OM is an unbelievable powerhouse and can fit into any genre on shine on stage with its beautiful sunburst top finish! There is a reason why the Colling's OM is their top selling guitar!
This Pre-Owned Guitar is in Excellent Condition w/ only 1 small ding on the bottom side of the body.
