With a sound-board of "AA" grade solid Sitka spruce, "A-Grade" solid Blackwood back and sides and one of the world's finest acoustic pickups in the AP5-PRO. With its dominant live tone, The EBG808 Nashville is the guitar of choice for Country Music great Keith Urban
The combination of a “AA” Sitka Spruce soundboard, Streaky Ebony fingerboard/bridge and Blackwood back, sides and Select Queensland Maple neck produces a tone that is rich, full, well balanced and with the glassy highs essential to the tone of this fantastic guitar. This Maton EBG808C Nashville could be just the guitar your collection has been missing.
Crafted with beautiful Blackwood also known as Acacia Melanoxylon. Most of the Blackwood comes from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It often displays "fiddleback" character and "AAA" grade Blackwood can be intensely figured. It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of the most sought after timbers. It may be of interest to learn, that whenever a Maton employee gets to make their own guitar, they almost always choose Blackwood. It is used in nearly every Maton either as a neck, back and sides, or internal component.
The AP5 Pro Pickup System includes a separate microphone and piezo pickup, both of which can be blended via their individual controls. The system is designed to capture the true sound of the instrument utilizing the adjustable cardioid mic, which is mounted directly to the pre-amp, and the unique piezo system to permit easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's style.
Includes Original Hardshell Case.
