Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster, NOS Desert Sunset
By the late 1950s, the Telecaster had firmly established its reputation as the premier workhorse guitar, but for the player seeking a guitar with the versatility of a Tele and a more distinct personality, the choices were few and far between. The Vintage Custom 1960 Telecaster boasts the same refined look as the original, along with some rare and compelling features from the Tele's formative years that we felt modern players and vintage tone hounds alike would appreciate. It comes equipped with hand-wound '63 Tele bridge single-coil pickup, a Twisted Tele neck pickup, and Modern Greasebucket wiring for wide-open Tele tone that can easily handle any playing situation. The neck features a 9.5" fretboard radius, which we found on some rare examples, giving it a unique feel even among vintage-inspired models. It also features Jumbo frets, which are larger than a vintage size and verycomfortable to play.
Other features include a Journeyman Relic, flash-coat lacquer Surf Green Closet Classic hardware, 2-piece Roasted alder body, dark tinted Roasted maple neck with flat lam Rosewood fingerboard and '59 large "C"-shaped neck profile, 21 Jumbo frets, 3-way switch, Fat '50s Tele control assembly, 1-ply parchment pickguard, '58-'63 Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage Knurled knobs, bone nut, wing string tree and vintage-style tuning machines.
An elegant take on a timeless classic, this Telecaster combines, form, function and feel with the most important element—authentic Fender sound. Includes a deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
Comes with a Fender Deluxe Hard Shell case.
