For over 25 years the extraordinarily talented luthiers of the Fender Custom Shop have been providing the most illustrious guitar players of their day with their dream instruments
One of the most popular instruments in history, the Fender® Stratocaster® guitar is the most imitated electric guitar ever. The 1950's were a landmark time for the instrument. It had evolved from its early incarnations into an archetype. It was the high point of the maple-neck era.
This 2007 Fender Dave's Guitars Anniversary Stratocaster is 1 of 25 made. Fender Custom Shop built these for Dave's Guitar Shop to commemorate His 25th Anniversary in the Guitar Business. This actual guitar was Hand-Selected by Dave.
It incorporates several refinements into the classic Fender design. Features include an Alder body with Toas Turqoise Finish. Fender originally used Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish on all of their guitars.
They switched to polyurethane in the early to mid 70's. Nitrocellulose is more labor intensive and is thinner than polyurethane. Because the Nitrocellulose finish is thinner it allows the wood to "breathe". This lets it resonate better giving you a tone that is more authentic to the original '50's Fender Stratocaster.
This Moderately relic’ed guitar with its Toas Turqoise finish insures this guitar looks gorgeous and plays like a dream!
Some of the other fine appointments are ’50's Stratocaster pickups, single-ply pickguard, Maple neck and fretboard and Vintage style Tuners.
This instrument is in Excellent + Condition with no wear to mention.
Includes Hardshell Case.
