Huss & Dalton Model D5 Custom
Power is the desire of almost every dreadnought player, and this custom sloped shoulder delivers in a huge way. clarity, defined power, and finesse, are only a few words to describe how this instrument is versatile beyond words. Huss & Dalton designed this custom guitar as a nod to the traditional slope-shoulder guitars of the 1930s and ’40s. Guitars like Gibson's famous traditional J 35 and J 45 are just a few that Huss and Dalton were modeling after.
This Custom D5 is built with Thermo-cured Red Spruce paired with Cocobolo back & Sides,
which gives the guitar a fairly bright overall tone emphasized by sparkling treble notes. Sonically it resembles koa but resonates a little deeper on the low end. The tone is fast, responsive, and articulate. This custom pairing fits in close compared to their standard pairs like the rosewood version as a slope-shouldered, and the mahogany version. This custom D5 will definitely sound its best with medium strings and hard playing.
Besides it's overwhelming sonic abilities, this guitar is a stunner in a Vintage Sunburst finish that will put a shame to any vintage Gibson instrument. With a custom High Gloss neck finish, the guitar is ready to be played on for many years to come.
Other Custom appointments include: Custom Cocobolo body, fretboard, & head Bindings with B/W/B purfling. Custom 1 11/16" nut width, and a Custom Tortoise Style Greven Premium Pickguard.
