National NEW MODEL! Triolian Tricone 12 Fret Thin Gauge Steel

New from National, the Triolian Tricone borrows many of its features from the single cone W-Series Triolian. The body is made from thin-gauge steel and has a formed back. Each is hand painted in walnut-burst. The maple neck clears 12 frets to the body and features an ivoroid-bound rosewood fretboard complete with inlaid mother-of-pearl position markers. Tuners are vintage-style engraved, open gear.

The tricone design is perfect for players who focus on open tunings and slide.  Tricone resonators, when compared to the single cone models, are more mellow in tone and have a bit more sustain.  While not quite as loud as the single cone counterparts, this National is not lacking for volume, you will cut through any ensemble with ease... with a tone that is smooth, pure, and full of reverberation.  Classic players like Tampa Red heavily relied on the original National Tricone, and he would be pleased to have this beauty in his hands.
