National ResoPhonic Concert Ukulele Koa

National ResoPhonic Concert Ukulele Koa Pre-Owned 2014

When you pick up a National resonator ukulele and begin playing, you can instantly see the reasons why players prefer Nationals over any other brand of resonator ukulele. The volume and tone delivered by this ukulele almost sounds like it has it’s own rhythm section built in. Even the simplest rhythm passages take on a supercharged quality with this unique uke.

This National Concert Ukulele comes with a Koa top, back and sides. The neck is made of mahogany with an unbound rosewood fingerboard. The headstock has a tortoise/ivoroid overlay to complete this instrument.

Koa's tone blends the midrange of mahogany with thetop end of maple. Due to its density, a new koa guitar tends to start out sounding a little bright and tight, somewhat like maple. But the more a koa guitar is played, the more the sound opens up, expanding the midrange and rewarding the player with a richer, sweeter, more resonant tone. A common mistake is when a bright player buys a koa guitar in part for its visual beauty, finds it to be too bright, and doesn't play it enough to allow the wood to warm up.

National Ukulele's are hands down the loudest Ukes in the shop. The 5 7/8" resonator cone significantly amplifies the instrument complimenting the mahogany perfectly, with a tone that is round, full, warm and loud! It has the stellar build quality typical of Nationals, it’s quite loud and punchy yet sweet-sounding, and the flamed Koa is nice to look at.

This National ResoPhonic Concert Ukulele Koa Pre-Owned 2014 is in Excellent + Condition with no wear to mention.
