1994-1995 Jerry Jones Baritone Single Cutaway

This Jerry Jones Baritone Single Cutaway is in mint condition, with just a few minor light scratches on the back and top this is very hard to distinguish used from new. Because Jerry Jones Guitars was a small operation and is no longer doing business we had a hard time figuring out the year of this guitar, but because of it's serial number our research has lead us between the years 1994 and 1995. Hardshell Case included.

Although the Baritone guitar has been around for 50+ years they still seem a bit mysterious to a lot of guitar players. Most people have heard a Baritone Guitar and don't even know it. They are used quite a bit in movie soundtracks, and more specifically Spaghetti Westerns. Danelectro was the first company to introduce the Electric Baritone guitar in the late 1950' s. The Baritone became very popular among studio musicians in the late 50's and 60's, but the use of the Baritone became less and less in the 70's. In more recent history the Baritone has found it's way into many genres within more traditional styles such as Rock and Country but has also seen it's way into more experimental uses in genres like Metal.

In April 2011 Jerry Jones, retired and closed the doors on his shop in Nashville, Tn where he created his line of Custom Electric guitars, Baritone Electric Guitars, Bass Guitars, and even Electric Sitars! Jerry Jones Guitars main focus was to create guitars true to the original Danelectro designs from the late 50's and early 60's with highest quality appointments.

With a longer than standard scale length(28"), this 1994-1995 Jerry Jones Baritone Single Cutaway is a perfect compliment to traditional guitar. Normally tuned a 5th or 4th below standard, this instrument lends itself to creative playing over an extended range without sacrificing playability. With two unwound strings on the high end, players can bend strings or play chords as normal...get creative! Some of the fine appointments that set this apart from your run of the mill Danelectro is such as an Indian Rosewood fretboard, Gotoh® Tuners, and Gotoh® bridge w/adjustable saddle pieces.
