2001 Fender American Vintage 1957 Stratocaster in Ice Blue Metallic

This 2001 Fender American Vintage 1957 Stratocaster in Ice Blue Metallic has a few light surface scratches and dents which we attempted to capture in the detailed photographs below. The pickup knobs and pickguard have been changed, the originals are provided in the case. It has very minor fretwear and includes the original hardshell case.

1957 was the height of Fender's acclaimed "maple neck" era, and is known as a benchmark year for the Strat -- three years after its release, minor upgrades from the already stellar original helped the Stratocaster really hit its stride.

Over the decades, the revolutionary sound and feel of these iconic guitars matured into a vintage vibe so desirable that original '57 Strats now sell for tens of thousands of dollars. Fender has continued to make great advances with its instruments over the years, but there's nothing quite like the original.

The American Standard '57 Strat is not just designed to replicate the striking look of the original; the tone is spot-on as well. The electronics and hardware are a faithful replication, featuring original '57/62 Stratocaster Pickups that were reverse engineered from prized vintage pickups to reproduce the famous sound, with beveled-edge Alnico 5 magnets and Formvar magnet wire to produce the warm lows and gleaming highs you'd expect from a classic axe.

Also present are the famous single-piece maple neck and fingerboard, the retro 3-way pickup selector switch, Fender/Gotoh vintage tuning machines, and an original-style synchronized tremolo bridge.
