2012 Pre Owned Taylor 914CE Grand Auditorium Sitka and Indian Rosewood

Taylor's most popular and versatile body shape, the mid-size Grand Auditorium arrived in 1994 bearing refined proportions that fell between a Dreadnought and Grand Concert. While the bigger Dreadnought was traditionally considered a flatpicker’s guitar and the smaller Grand Concert catered to fingerstylists, the GA was designed to deliver on both fronts.

Taylor's rarest, high-grade Indian rosewood is reserved for the 900 Series®. In fact, every material used on these guitars is premium quality, from the iridescent pieces of abalone used for the inlay work to the elegant Gotoh tuners. The 900 Series guitars are true Taylor masterworks.

The sleek lines of its Grand Auditorium body are accentuated by a softly-rounded Venetian cutaway, complementing the 914ce's shimmering appointments. The finest Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce deliver a tone that can only be described as an experience.

Sitka is ideal for players who find Adirondack Red Spruce too punchy, bright, and stiff - but do not want to sacrifice on clarity. Sitka Spruce is a versatile topwood that accentuates the warm round aspects of the guitar's tone. The top end is sweet and crisp; with a driving, focused midrange and low-end. It strums with the best of them, but has a neck that flatpicks beautifully across the board.

The gorgeous set of Indian Rosewood on the back and sides broadens out the dynamic range, bringing overtone rich low-end and mellow yet defined trebles. When fingerpicking, each note is rich and warm, yet well defined and easily articulated.

This is a 2012 model in excellent + condition. No noticeable dings or scratches and very minor fret wear. Nice tonal characteristics with balance and bite. Includes a Taylor Expression System and Collins hardshell case.
