Collings 0002H w/ German Spruce & Cocobolo 2018 NAMM Model

The 12-fret 000 has the same general appearance as the Collings 00, but in a larger size with longer string scale. Although it’s the same width and depth as the OM, the longer body typically produces more bass and overall volume. This makes the Collings 000 ideal for string-band purists or any guitarist who wants a maximum of power from an instrument of comfortable size with an elegant, old-time appearance. The 12-fret neck makes for a guitar that is almost effortless to play.

You will love the incredible tone of this German Spruce top and the depth of colour of the Cocobolo back and sides. German Spruce is one of the sweetest tops out there with remarkable overtones that will sound beautifully fingerpicked, and rich when strummed

Cocobolo characteristically has powerful low overtones resulting in a complex bottom end. The overall effect is also a bell like tone with clear, slow decaying harmonics. Fast and responsive, it articulate with ample note distinction and a rich low end

The Collings 000 models are always some of the most versatile instruments in the shop, and this one is no different…. it will be right at home in jam circles, on stage, or in the studio, regardless the style of music.

This particular model features a nut width of 1 3/4" and bridge spacing of 2 3/16" for comfortable chording and fingerstyle playing and provides plenty of room for complex chord shapes.

Additional custom appointments include a pyramid bridge, Abalone short diamonds and square inlays, a style 2 backstrip and Herringbone Purfling. Truly a work of art, this gorgeous guitar is as much of a joy to look at as it is to play.
