Collings OM2H G DD German Spruce Deep Body
Always a shop favorite, here is another fantastic example of a Collings OM2H with a German Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. Extra features are what make this particular model stand out from the rest. This guitar features a thicker, deep body, measuring 4 5/8" deep. The deeper body provides rich low tones not often heard on OM size guitars, providing an incredibly balanced sound.
German Spruce is another fine upgrade on this instrument. German is a stiffer spruce than Sitka, but not as stiff as Adirondack, making it the perfect compromise for many players. You get more complexity and overtones from German than Sitka or Adirondack and it is much more responsive than Adirondack for bare fingerstyle playing. The German top give you a more open, less compressed sound right from the start. This is the OM that dreadnought players have been looking for. It is extremely comfortable to hold and play, making it nearly impossible to put down, and very little tone is sacrificed front the OM size.
A dalmatian pickguard puts the finishing touches on this instrument, making it look just different enough from everything else on the rack.
