Huss and Dalton TDM Custom with Thermo-cured Red Spruce and Mahogany ID-9522
Huss and Dalton TDM Custom with Thermo-cured Red Spruce and Mahogany
The topwood on this Huss and Dalton TDM Custom is Thermo-Cured Red (Adirondack) Spruce, one of the most aggressive and powerful woods available. Adirondack provides virtually unlimited headroom when played hard, perfect for heavy handed bluegrass players who are competing with louder string band instruments such as banjos and fiddles.
This Huss and Dalton could be just what your collection has been missing.
The Mahogany back and sides produces a tone that is clear and incredibly powerful. The low end is spectacular. The midrange, while maintaining stunning clarity and definition, is very smooth and pleasant, making for a very balanced D-18 style sound without the harsh
upper mids and trebles that can sometimes jump out.
If you have spent any time studying their website or model designations, you’ve probably noticed the distinctive title “Traditional Models” available from Huss & Dalton. This special designation is currently reserved for just four guitars, two each Dreadnoughts and Orchestra Models, separate from the many other fine instruments offered in their catalog.
