Santa Cruz 000 Custom Bear Claw Moon Spruce Top w/ Cutaway

From the Santa Cruz website... "The OOO is the 12-fret predecessor of the OM. If access past the 12th fret is of no concern, the OOO adds some distinct advantages tonally and cosmetically."

With a beautiful Bearclaw Italian Spruce top, hand selected from a small batch supplier (*), this OOO is every player's dream come true. The extension of the body to the 12th fret adds additional airspace, which translates into increased sound volume and a more predominate bass in the EQ.

The slotted peghead is a standard feature that adds classic styling. The peghead’s reduced mass accentuates the guitar’s open, airy ambiance, making it a fingerstyle favorite (yet by no means shy with a pick). You’ve seen the SCGC OOO on stage with Jeff Tweedy and Dave Matthews as a solid performance & songwriting tool.

It has also been heard on numerous recordings as a mainstay of pro session players. You will find an immediate purpose for the OOO and wonder why you didn’t have it in your arsenal all along.

Coupled with the Bearclaw Italian Spruce soundboard, the rare African Blackwood body has a density and surface hardness ranked higher than Brazilian Rosewood. Together the combination provides exceptional note definition, strong clarity, and dynamic projection. The tonal register includes a good fundamental bass, yet equally matched mid's and trebles that make up the signature Santa Cruz musical voicing. The Brazilian Rosewood bridge adds a nice touch of overtones!

This one of a kind custom Santa Cruz has no play wear and would pass for new, while the prior owner / collector moved upscale to an even more rare custom model from SCGC. The original List Price was shy of $15k, and it is currently value-priced for the next collector.

Many other custom options include Hide Glue construction with Adirondack bracing, Koa binding throughout, Gold Waverly open gear tuners with Ebony buttons, Abalone Rosette and 42 Style fingerboard inlays, and 41 Style Abalone top purfling. Sold with the original Ameritage hardshell case, and verified Santa Cruz PLEK setup.
