Santa Cruz FS w/ Redwood & Koa w/ Cutaway
The Santa Cruz FS Model was designed with Fingerstyle playing in mind. Power, definition and tonal response across the spectrum is what you can expect to hear coming out of this Guitar.
Fingerstyle players can finally rejoice because this instrument is an acoustic steel string guitar built for the speed, volume, and playabillity of the fingerstyle genre. If you listen to our audio clip you can hear that the guitar records beautifully and is transparent no matter what microphone you're using; not to mention the gorgeous appointments like the Blue Purfle Combo on the rosette and inner binding.
This particular FS features a custom wood combination of Redwood & Koa. Redwood is a dark, beautiful top wood favored by fingerstyle players who appreciate clear upper harmonic content. Redwood comes across as Bold and punchy, harboring crisp tones, with rich, strong overtones. Like a cross between spruce and cedar.
Koa Wood is native to Hawaii and is considered an exotic tonewood. Koa blends a cross between the midrange clarity of Mahogany with the bright crispy trebles of maple. Koa has a reputation of being bright early in a guitar's life. Koa is well known to open up and become sweeter/richer over time; making these Koa guitars well worth the wait and more valuable as time goes on.
This instrument is in Very Good Condition w/ a very small chip out of the bridge right above where the Low E String sits(see photos). The Guitar would have fallen in the "Excellent" condition if not for the small chip. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to own this career instrument.
