Santa Cruz OM PW Sitka with Indian Rosewood and Herringbone
In the 1920's, the Orchestra Model was originally intended to be a large guitar capable of being heard over other orchestral instruments, hence the OM name. Although it fit the bill, its relatively large body was soon eclipsed by the mighty dreadnought. Fortunately, the Santa Cruz OM had secured its place in history as a powerful and versatile voice for public performance.
Santa Cruz was among the first modern builders to reintroduce this now smaller bodied favorite at the beginning of the Eighties. Their practice of combining the most desirable attributes of old and new, rather than copying, made for a very successful introduction of the Santa Cruz Guitar Company to a whole new audience.
The OM Pre-War Model is designed with many of the features in bracing and tone that the emerging singer-songwriter, the working musician, or a serious amateur will find desirable at a price before unheard of in guitars of this caliber. The Santa Cruz OM/PW is always a shop favorite... it sounds so good and responds so well, players never want to put it down.
This OM/PW features Sitka Spruce top combined with Indian Rosewood back and sides.
Custom appointments include Herringbone top purfle, Ivoroid body binding and Diamond and Square Long Pattern fingerboard inlay.
This instrument is in Great Condition with only some light pick scratches on the pickguard as well as a few very light and minimal scratches on the top and back.
Includes Hardshell Case.
