Santa Cruz PJ w/ Sitka & Mahogany
The Santa Cruz PJ's parlor-style body was the pinnacle of the art of guitar making up until the late 19th century. This was the optimal size for tonal perfection. The reason guitars got bigger was to make them louder. With amplification and modern recording techniques, we can once again embrace sound quality over sound quantity.
The PJ is all about pure tonal sophistication. Every tried and true technique of lutherie is used to enable this guitar to fulfill one's creative spirit. Genuine and elegant presence comes from each position on the fretboard, while a 24-inch scale and 12 frets to the body make the PJ effortless to play. This instrument holds songs, compositions and possibilities to last a lifetime.
This PJ was built with Sitka Top & Mahogany Back & Sides construction. The mahogany back & sides seems to deliver a balanced tone with no 'sag' but just responsive and tuneful results. The Sitka provides balance and clarity that brings out those beautiful highs associated with the Tried and True Sitka Mahogany combination.
This Pre-Owned Guitar is in Very Good Condition with light scratches on the pickguard, back, and bottom side of the instrument. There is moderate fret wear, and there is also a delamination spot on the headstock(see photos). The case is also in Very Good condition but has a leather piece on the handle(that in no way effects carrying the guitar) that has become unattached(see pictures)
