Vintage Martin D-28S w/ Sitka Spruce & Brazilian Rosewood

The deep bass response of a D-28S was a very unusual feature to musicians used to the clear treble and overall balance of smaller standard size instruments. However, when the Dreadnought made its way into the hands of country music performers, it found an appreciative audience - it was just the item for backing up vocals, fiddles, and banjos in lieu of a bass instrument. Today, the Martin D-28 is a well-established and sought after classic.

The tone of this Martin D-28S Acoustic Guitar is what separates it from all other guitars. It has a solid Sitka spruce top, & the holy grail Brazilian Rosewood for the polished back and sides, and genuine ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. The Rosewood back and sides contribute to the mid and low end and overall give this D-28 fine tonal character. Power with high treble sparkle is what you can expect from this Brazilian Dreadnought. Brazilian Rosewood is some of the most sought after wood in the world! Limited in sets and cites controlled; Brazilian Rosewood is a hot commodity in the guitar building world.

This fingerstyle champion sounds just as good as any Vintage Martin should! Comfortable to play, and an inspiring tone that will keep you playing for hours and hours without putting it down!

This D-28S has a 1 7/8" nut width and slotted headstock making it a fingerstyle masterpiece but also has a powerful sonic range that gives it an advantage over most flatpicking strummer guitars as well.

This Pre-Owned Guitar is in Good Condition for its Vintage age. There are scratches, dings, finish sinking, & finish cracking throughout the entire instrument. The guitar has also been professionally repaired by Glaser Instruments.
