The Martin 0-21 is the smallest of all the "0" designated Martin acoustics. This wonderful Brazilian Rosewood Martin 0-21 guitar from 1928 is a vintage classic!
The Style 21 was Martin's more appointed style than say a Style 18. It was offered in both a size 2 and 3. It is constructed with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a Adirondack Red Spruce top; the typical woods for guitars of the era.
Brazilian Rosewood is an extremely rare tonewood. It has deep bass and brilliant trebles that was used on the famous vintage guitars that we have all grown to love. An international trade embargo on Brazilian rosewood products guarantees that the relatively few sets remaining in this country will continue to spiral in price as the supply dwindles.
Brazilian brings remarkable darkness, depth, and warmth; while exhibiting glorious overtones across the entire tonal spectrum.
The sound and setup of this 1928 Martin 0-21 are perfect. It has very smooth action and a warm, clear tone, it is super light and incredibly well-balanced, the highs shimmer in a way that beautifully compliments the rich mids. Not really boomy, this 0-21 would work great in a recording setting.
This instrument is Great Condition for its age. Showing typical wear with a few things to note. Please read through the Gruhn Appraisal and review the detailed photos posted below.
