Jose Ramirez 4E Classical Guitar Year 2005

From its foundation in 1882 to the present moment, The Ramírez workshop has maintained it's basic traditions. Amalia Ramirez personally supervises the construction process from start to finish, and all of the guitars must receive her final approval to indicate they are of the highest quality. Her desire is to practice the time honored tradition of her fathers and build the very best guitar possible. The small Ramirez shop only makes the concert models there, while the student guitars are contracted out to select luthiers in Spain and finally checked for quality and setup at the Ramirez shop before being sold. This Jose Ramirez 4E Classical Guitar is the top of the line Ramirez student guitar. It is made entirely by hand with solid materials and carries some of the look and feel of its higher-level 1A concert guitar. The marquetry and detailing are the most refined of all the Ramirez student line of instruments with hand-inlaid purfling, beautiful decorative wooden inlays. An excellent instrument for the emerging concert guitarist or advanced student from the world’s most recognized name in classical guitars. The respected Ramirez name makes this guitar an investment that will hold its value well, not to mention providing you with countless hours of playing pleasure.

The top is AAAA book matched Western red cedar which, as a softer soundboard, is perfectly matched to a classical player's desired response and tone. The fingerboard is African ebony for a bright, fast note response, matched to a bone nut and saddle. The tuners are Deluxe Gold Fustero, and neck is Spanish cedar with ebony reinforcement. Traditionally speaking, matching the cedar top to solid East Indian rosewood back and sides provides the lush sound you want from a Nylon stringed instrument. The inlays are wood, and the finish is fine lacquer. As Ramirez is one of the most famous names in the Classical guitar building, this sound like a fine instrument should! It resonates with deep basses as you would expect, the highs are exceptionally clean and clear and the overall tone is well balanced with lovely sustain.

This Jose Ramirez 4E is in in very good condition. There are only very minor scratches to the top, back and sides. Additionally, there is no fret wear and it does have two small areas on the binding that are rough to the touch, and are seen in the detailed photos below. Original Humicase Hardshell Case is Included.
