Nash Guitars is a small independent custom guitar builder in Seattle, Washington. The company was started and is still run by Bill Nash, a man who has been in the music industry for years. Bill began playing in bands at age 15, and both of his parents were in the music business as well. This means that Nash knows guitars and what players want.

Nash put much of the experience he gained repairing and refurbishing Gibsons and Fenders into the design of the S-57. He personally designed and hand-crafts each S-57, using only the highest quality hardware, wood, and other options. He refuses to create a guitar that anyone could pick up off a rack. Instead, each of his instruments is an unique hand-made guitar that is like no other.

This guitar does more than just look good—it sounds amazing, too. Bill Nash designed the S-57 to combine that great vintage look and feel while still being affordable to the average player. This Nash S-57 features an Ash body and a maple fingerboard. The bridge is vintage, and it has 3 X Lollar pickups. Additionally, it is created with a 100% nitrocellulose lacquer, high quality vintage hardware, superior woods and options.

The pickups still are true singles but so perfectly wound and because of that they hum much less even near large cabinets and hard overdrive/average distortion region than common machine wound single coils.

The balance and production details are fantastic. The body reflects all great spesifications of 50s stratocasters. The tubby contour of back and arm contour of Nash is very accurate to the first years of stratocasters, very deep, detailed and comfortable. The sound, of course, hasn’t taken any hits—it sounds excellent, just like all Nash instruments.
