Huss and Dalton Owens Mill Banjo Pre Owned 2003 ID-10098
Huss and Dalton Owens Mill Banjo
The Huss and Dalton Owens Mills Banjo was born out a desire to get back to building banjos in addition to their fine line of guitars. Known for their acoustic power, Jeff Huss and Mark Dalton formally met while apprenticing at the world famous Stelling Banjo company. Since collaborating and designing their own line, they have created a place in the Bluegrass music scene as a company that rivals the classic flat head banjos of the 1930's.
Designed with deluxe appointments like the "Majestic" fretboard and headstock inlays, and custom American Maple bindings, the Owens Mill banjo is a subtly gorgeous 5 string banjo ideal for any player.
This 2003 model features a Mahogany back, a classic sand cast JLS #4 tone ring, presto tailpiece, and a Snuffy Smith bridge. These options reveal a warm, clear voice and tone. Listen to our recording and tell us what you think!
At one time this banjo was owned and played by Mark Dalton, and had rails added at the 7th, 8th and 9th fret for player convenience. With light fretwear, this banjo is in Good Condition with some surface scratches and slight pitting in the nickel plating. On the neck there are marks from a capo above the 5th string tuner. There is also a stable neck crack that was repaired by the factory years ago. Check out our photos for more information.
Includes the Original TKL Tweed Hardshell Case.
